But currently, it is troubling me as I've started some processes recommending ProtonMail for some of my customers. The balance between giving too little and too much public information about the abuse triggers is delicate. On the other side, customers depending on ProtonMail can also become truly ineffective if they end up being blocked due to the anti-abuse systems being triggered on the wrong grounds - which again can make these customers decide ProtonMail is to fragile and move on to another vendor because availability is at least as important as the privacy ProtonMail can offer. I do understand that ProtonMail is on a knifes edge here, on one side the ProtonMail infrastructure can be abused and be blocked by other mail servers, loose reputation, etc, etc. We're on the professional plan, so of course we use our own domains that's a requirement to add users to the "organization" in the ProtonMail admin panels.

Exceptions include privacy specific laws that can impact Proton’s products or posts on the official blog.ĭo you have any idea what the IT support burden would be if you need to switch several users, say 10-20 users, from one mail system to another one? Most business doing that would also most likely *not* return back to ProtonMail afterwards.
